It is with much enthusiasm and extreme pleasure that Patrick Gomez 4 Sheriff announces our inaugural exhibition: Michael Decker’s Photo Album Release Party Summer 2014 with a reception for the artist Saturday August 2nd, 2014 from 7-10 pm.

 

The works featured in this show are a collection of 13 of Decker’s found, printed, categorized and archived photographs.  Nearly all the images have been sourced online and are printed at Costco for $.26 each and then categorized using found photo albums.  The Gallery will act as a viewing station where visitors will be invited to chill on the extra seat from Patrick’s 1999 Chevy Suburban and/or his custom bench.

 

Michael Decker was born in Spokane, WA. In 2005 he received his BFA from California Institute of the Arts in Valencia, Ca. Recent solo exhibitions include New Car Smell at Ambach and Rice in Los Angeles, and Adult Roman Numeral Thirty at Steve Turner Contemporary in Los Angeles.  Recent Group Exhibitions include Louie Louie at Human Resources in Los Angeles, Dirty Funk at ACME in Los Angeles, Folding Time Rhymes at Greene Exhibitions in Los Angeles, Photo Op at ForYourArt in Los Angeles, Made in Space hosted jointly by Gavin Brown’s Enterprise and Venus over Manhattan in New York and The Archaic Revival, Zic Zerp Galerie, Rotterdam. The artist lives and works in Los Angeles.

 

Patrick Gomez 4 Sheriff is a new project space run by JPW3 and Sayre Gomez. The space takes its name from the recent candidate for Sheriff of Los Angeles County, Patrick Gomez.  PG4S will focus on keeping the peace and making sure the artist is always right. For the opening the gallery will serve Patron and beer and will also feature products from Northern Organics.
